After 9 incredible years with Chris Francis Tree Care, Donavan Ballard is moving on to a new chapter in his career with the City of Mobile’s Urban Forestry team. Donavan played a key role in growing our Plant Health Care division and was a valued part of our crew. We celebrated his contributions with a Going Away party on Friday, and while he will be greatly missed, we’re excited to see all he’ll accomplish in his new role. Best of luck, Donavan!

This annual event brings together professionals dedicated to advancing urban forestry across the state. It was a great opportunity to connect, learn, and stay up to date on best practices and innovations in tree care and urban canopy management. Always an honor to be part of Alabama’s growing urban forestry community!

Our Plant Health Care team stepped up to replace a light in one of our trees, and Cheyenne knocked it out of the park! With precision and care, she made sure the job was done safely and efficiently. Great work, Cheyenne  your dedication keeps us glowing strong!

We were honored to take part in Saluting Branches at the National Cemetery in Mobile a meaningful day of professional tree work dedicated to honoring our nation’s veterans. Though many volunteers had already departed before the photos, we’re grateful to everyone who contributed their time and skills. Thank you to all who made this event possible. It was a privilege to serve those who served.

Our Plant Health Care team installed protective fencing around trees in a new housing construction area to ensure their roots remain safe during development. 🌳🚧 Taking proactive steps like this helps preserve tree health and longevity amid growing communities. Great job to the team for putting tree protection first!

Our Plant Health Care team performed air excavation to carefully expose root systems for engineers on site. This method allows for precise root identification without causing damage, enabling the use of pier systems that protect tree roots during construction. A great example of collaboration between arboriculture and engineering to preserve urban tree health!

Less than 24 hours after completing an emergency response drill, our Green Crew faced a real-life situation when a client suffered a fall and head injury. Thanks to their training, the team acted quickly and effectively. Josh coordinated from the lift, Ron called 911, Oscar retrieved the first aid kit, Zach applied pressure, and Mykel assisted with supplies. We’re proud of how our crew responded with calm, care, and professionalism. This is exactly why we train so we’re ready when it matters most.
